xAnnaleigh | Founder & Lead Organiser

Hey! I'm Anna, I'm the Founder & Lead Organiser for Sheffield Connected.

I'm a Twitch Partner, variety streamer, singer, community organiser, and generally someone who has somehow ended up with far too many hobbies and not enough hours in the day. I'm also a Sheffield girlie and proud!

I started streaming in November 2024, without really knowing where it would go. Since then, it's grown into a full time career, but the thing I've always cared about the most is the community that came with it. I started Project Snowfall, which is a community based initiative reducing the isolation, loneliness, and suicide statistic amongst gamers worldwide, and it's also a huge part of why Sheffield Connected exists.

I've met some genuinely brilliant people through gaming and streaming, but I've also seen how easy it is for people to feel isolated - particularly when so much of our social lives happen online. I wanted to create something in Sheffield where people could actually meet the people behind the usernames.

Sheffield Connected is about bringing together all of the communities that shape Twitch and want to be a part of it. You don't need a massive following, a fancy job title, or years of experience. You just need to want to get involved.

I care a lot about making sure people feel welcome. I'm openly disabled, neurodivergent, and LGBTQIA+, and I know what it's like to feel like you don't quite fit somewhere. Accessibility, inclusion, and making sure people aren't treated differently for being themselves are things I take seriously.

Sheffield Connected is volunteer run and it's for the people, by the people, with the people. I genuinely want the community to help shape what it becomes.

Outside of Sheffield Connected, I'm usually streaming, singing, talking about my cats, or getting myself into some sort of unnecessary chaos that just adds to my to do list.

I can't wait to meet you all xo

VoidRelic | Assistant Organiser

Hi guys! I'm Relic! Your Scottish assistant organiser. I'm 37 years old and love gaming - Fortnite and Palia are my current favourites, but Witcher 3 and Skyrim are my all time faves, and The Sims was my first love for gaming!

I have two boys, and live with my partner, and our two cats. In my 9-5, I work with children, who I love working with as they always have new questions for me to answer... some of which I love answering, others make me want to run and hide (got to love kids aye!). There's even a running joke about me being the ginger Harry Potter - both because I hide literally in a cupboard, and also I once lost a fight with a shelving unit whilst doing DIY unsupervised... Anna no longer allows me up a ladder, which tells you the kind of person I am!

I came to Twitch after discovering drops, but it's safe to say that it was the feeling of family and community that made it become not just a website I clicked on for drops, but a place I turned to on good days, bad days, and anything in between. People I had never met very quickly became my best friends, and the connections I never had, IRL. I'm thrilled to be a part of these events because it offers so many people that same opportunity, except with the meets, you also have the chance to make IRL memories, as well as the pixelated ones!

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, don't be shy to say hello! x

AimeeJ92 | Assistant Organiser

Hello everyone! I'm Aimee, or Aims, I'm 34 years old and from England! I live with my partner, daughter, and our dog Rupert.

I started visiting Twitch after playing against Anna in a game of Dead by Daylight, and I just never left really. What started as a game of us as enemies, turned into me finding my best friends, people I consider family, and a group of wonderful people with different stories and experiences to share.

My favourite games are Dead by Daylight, Fortnite, and Palia, but I've been known to fall into manholes, drop some Kings, or don an apron in the kitchen. I'm really up for trying anything once - not like I sometimes have a choice with Anna around!

I absolutely love giraffes, so if there's any stalls at SC with giraffe themed items.. I'm probably going to be found around there! If you do see me, feel free to come say hello!

I'm so excited to meet you all! x

AlexAylward | Apprentice Assistant Organiser

Hey!, I’m Alex, I’m 23 years old and I’m the Apprentice Assistant Organiser.

I love gaming, especially my favourites: Minecraft, Fortnite, GTA V and I love to try new and different games, especially co-op games.

I’m in my final year of university, studying law and criminology, as well as working for my mum in her cafe when I can.

I enjoy playing football, playing for both my University, as well as in a Sunday League team.

I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and have been with my girlfriend for going on 5 years.

I am also really open surrounding my ongoing diagnosis for AuDHD and try and express that through the neurodivergent community.

I have loved watching Twitch and gaming streams since being young, so having the opportunity to learn and grow through this Twitch family and platform is a great opportunity.

I’m really excited to see what’s to come! I’m really looking forward to our events and feel free to come over and say hi!

Alfie Turton | Event Photographer

Hello! I'm Alfie, the Official Event Photographer for Sheffield Connected!

I'm from Doncaster and currently studying my Level 2 Photography. I mainly photograph sports, events and nature, but I'm always up for trying something new and getting my camera into different places!

I've been taking photography seriously for just over three years now, and it's become a huge part of my life. It's given me the opportunity to meet loads of amazing people, visit new places and capture moments that people can look back on.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll probably find me cycling, running or training MMA.

I'm also a bit of a gamer, with Minecraft, Forza Motorsport and FIFA being some of my favourites.

I'm really excited to be part of Sheffield Connected and to capture the people, moments and memories that make the event special.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone, so if you see me wandering around with a camera, please feel free to come and say hi!

Ebony | NahThenNetwork | Event Videographer

Hey! I’m Ebony and I’m the Videographer for Sheffield Connected!

I am a 23 year old who decided I no longer want to have free time anymore. I am a filmmaker, social media manager, drummer and business owner. This all started last year when I decided to start my own Digital Production business called Nah Then Network.

This usually means my day consists of analysing social media posts, finding trending audios and spending hours filming, editing and scheduling reels (fun I know).

In between all that I am a final year uni student making my own documentary.

I found Sheffield Connected while doomscrolling on Instagram, and immediately knew I needed to get involved. It felt refreshing to find an event that prioritises getting creatives all in one space in an inventive and creative way. Creative work can feel pretty isolating (which I can guarantee a lot of you know) so this is massively needed.

Can’t wait to meet everyone that is attending. If you spot me then come and say hello! I’ll be the person holding the camera and capturing every moment!

Nah Then you best have bought a ticket after reading all of that…
